we just did an assignment like this too, man, it seems annoying at first but then you realize that its actually alot of fun to make the character act.

well for him it sounds like it was for himself not for school. For me it was an assignment in the animation program i am in at sheridan college in canada. took me a bit to remember what it was since i posted this comment over a year ago
