Description So, this is actually from a free pattern I found on ravelry which you can access here [link] I'm not really the happiest with how he came out, initially he had button eyes that made him look like something out of coroline so I refused to believe that was the end of it and he's been sitting in my "halfway" pile since the beginning of January, so this morning, I was thinking about working on something else when one of his scary button eyes stared at me . . . I promptly took those out and attempted something else, this was the result.

Materials:
Red Heart Super Saver (brown)
Size E hook
some kinda polka dotted fabric
Fabric Paints

Although I'm not delighted, he's sorta grown on me, I think I might give him a little top hat and cape and make him some kind of magician type thinking also I learned a lot about fabric paints! Like how to remove them from yarn without having to wash the entire piece! So in the end I'm happy

Also, he's up for trade if anyone is interested feel free to me

Thanks! I don't celebrate Easter, but thanks anyways! I didn't even realize I'd posted it just in time for Easter, haha

I am very curious as to how you removed the fabric paint without ruining the whole thing! Lol!

Sorry this reply is so late! I actually mixed rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizer in a VERY tiny little bowl and then used a cotton swab to dab at the paint. It takes a while but the results were definitely worth it

So very cute! I like the mix of fabric and crochet, I shall have to try that sometime!

Yeah! This was my first time trying it as well I had to burn the edges so they wouldn't fray, so for efficiency's sake, I'll definitely be picking a non fray fabric next time instead of having to go through all the hassle of melting the edges

Could you have perhaps used a clear nail varnish to seal those edges? Since it works somewhat for tights when they run and such, haha!

I never thought of using nail polish!!! That's a genius sounding idea! I've used nail polish for sealing clay, I never thought to use it for essentially "sealing" fabric! I will go try that out! I just burnt it because I've melted polyester fabric before to make flower petals for clips so I knew it would work.

Oh my word. He is sooooo cute. I want to huggle him a whole bunch. One of the few times I regret not having the attention span for crocheting. Well done.

Awweh thanks!! I don't really have much of an attention span either lol, that's why I lost interest in him for three months before finally finishing him

You are welcome. I get bored halfway through, then I realize I wasn't paying attention, and by then, it's too late. This was me trying to make a pony. [link] Somehow, it got turned into a bear....

Hahahaha, that's awesome!!!! Don't worry I have a few of those tooo!! They are hidden away at the bottom of my supply pile though. . . multilegged creatures that don't have any semblance to known animals I eventually go back and remake them into something else or declare them a lost cause and take em apart

they probably resemble some creature, just not what you were aiming for. I gave the pony bear to me mum and she seems to enjoy it's presence. I either need to get more practice or find somebody on etsy.com who isn't egotistically insane.

haha, I'm not so sure, I have a 5 legged .. . sackboy looking thing lying in a plastic bag that was initially suPPosED to be a cat haha.
Yeah. . .people who sell their amigurumis don't usually sell them cheap, I'm assuming it's because of all the time put into each piece, like if I were to pay myself minimum wage (7$) for the this bunny I'd be paid roughly 45$, which is why I don't sell my pieces.

Yay mutant Sackboy?

I am talking about people selling free to use(I checked on some) patterns from craft sites for ten bucks a pop, or worse barely recognizable ponies for thirty dollars or more.
Amiguris I look at them and see yes, lot of work went into them. But just standard here is a pony that is just the colors of them, pay me forty bucks for it, that is where I get annoyed.
The bunny here looks like a professionally made critter that could sell for that if a random accessory was popped onto him.

Oh, I definitely understand that! Yeah, I really dislike it when people crochet stuffed animals from free patterns that say NOT to redistribute for profit and then charge of them or also charging a ridiculous amount for a free pattern
Awweh thanks again! I wouldn't be able to ask someone to pay that much for a stuffed animal though, I'm okay to an extent with trading! Maybe, eventually, I'll open up a store after I've gotten faster and better at crocheting so I won't have to charge as much

I'll keep an eye out then. It's a lot more work than needed to find somebody that does good work at a good price. I'm not asking for much, just somebody who can make cute critters at reasonable prices. that's it.
