That's beautiful. As someone mentioned previously, the yellow tone works amazingly well with the B&W composition.

It's not unusual to see black and white with a jolt of red, but the marigold color on this is a lovely departure. I also love the grainy texture, that's magnificent.

For some reason though, I want her to be in the center of the composition, for it to be extra wide. I don't know why, normally the placement you chose would be what I'd prefer; but in this I keep wanting to scroll right to see the "rest" of the image that isn't there.

I think this way we may think more about where she is going and less about where she is coming from. She is walking in the opposite direction as the classic Western narrative of left-to-right, however, which I think adds just a touch of discomfort.

Interesting guess, but it feels unlikely to me. I really think it's a framing thing. She's not on the 2/3s line, she's just inside it, which I find unsettling. I seem to want her to either be dead center of a panorama, or at the edge, 3/4 (or even more?) across the frame. I don't think which side it is would matter to me.
Like I said, it's a stunning piece overall, and my approach here is not so much "what's wrong with the art?" but "what are the characteristics of my eye, why do I feel this way?" I think the "problem," such as it is, is on my side.
