Description I love symmetry and that humans are just as fractalicious as everything in nature.

Biology is why trees and cauliflowers are much more interesting and beautiful than the best fractals.

Wow, this is a fascinating piece. Communicates many strange things that I can understand but not really put into words. Nice work!

This is truly beautiful, you really know your stuff, how long time did you spend on this and how big is it?

let's see...the paper is about 14 x 17 maybe. haha i started this one during the summer when my boyfriend was out of town; probably at least 30 hours of work all told. it left me utterly drained.

Hehe, yes I know how stuff like that can drain you, but I like the passion and inspiration behind it even though it can drag on for a long time.

Wow, this is really killer. I love the hands come from hands, and the light coming from them. The monochrome really makes it all the more dramatic. <3

thank you so much! i worked really hard on it for a looooong time, so it's great to receive the positive response i wish it weren't quite so smudgy; i should have gotten some of that spray for pencil...or a redo in ink, though that seems so daunting.

wow, theres so much going on in this one, so much info and knowledge and understanding, right on! its awsome in black and white, but i cant help but wonder how you would color it ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ballofplasma In reply to WildLotus [2007-02-20 14:31:04 +0000 UTC]

thanks, i am pretty close to this one. i am basically an elaborate doodler though, and sometimes i don't plan out things in advance as much as i should; it is very smudgy. i love the detail you can get with pencil, but i never thought about coloring it. things would get messy fast, i'm sure. maybe i will do another version sometime...i don't know about you, but once i finish something this involved, it's so daunting to recreate it completely just to change one detail but as you may have noticed, i always come back to color. thanks for your comments![link]

i totally understand, i started making photocopies, and color copies (to get all the shading) of my black and white pictures so that i could experiment with colors...sometimes its hard for me to decide what colors should go where...i really love it as is too! im just a freak for colors
