I used a live model named Jessica to sit in for me on a plain white bedspread. I sketched her in this position (and lucky for me, she was really wearing that fishnet bodysuit). I didnt start the inking process until a few weeks after the initial sketch was done. Medium: ballpoint pen.Related content

The original sketch (with my model friend) took 20 minutes. Then the inking process took roughly 50 hours over a five week period.

Geez man, that's a lot of cross-hatching. I used to do a lot of work in ballpoint. This kind of stuff inpires me to pick it back up.

Thank you, I am always glad to inspire others to use a ballpoint. After all, the ink they use is oil based...its literally painting, just with a pen.

I asked her to move around a little like she was in pain, not physical pain, but that of the heart. I feel that is made very clear with this position. As for my proportions, refer to my reply to "FallenAngelEyes" above.

Her head looks a little bit too small, and I don't like the fact that she's not laying in a very natural position.
Perhaps it would have been better if her left leg would be over her right, more to the foreground.
For the rest it's a great drawing though. Excellent shading. I should try to do a drawing with ballpoint pen as well, as I love the look of this drawing.

Wow, great work as always. Only two things catch my eye. One is that her head seems ever so slightly smallish in proportion to her body. The other is that the fishnet pattern doesn't really curve to the underside of her breasts at all, it seems a little too flat. Was the fishnet pattern that large? Just wondering, because most fishnet bodysuits I've seen have a smaller net size than what this one seems to be.
Finally, I'm wondering if I'm either blind or not getting the joke. I can see 3 kittens. The 2 by the edge of the spread and the one behind her legs. Now are you counting her as the fourth, or am I just not seeing the actual fourth?

Finally! Someone asking about the fourth kitten. That is simply to be left to the imagination. I also appreciate the criticism, without it, I would never grow as an artist. Believe me, I notice such details in the execution of each peice, however that is the one most intimidating factor about using ballpoint pens...one cannot erase. I have a tendency to work in small areas for extensive periods. Sometimes missing some things in the big picture (that becomes less of a problem as time goes on). Im actually most frustrated about the mis-angling of the gears in the wall (in proportion to the floor). Anyway Im going to bed, thanks for taking the time to comment.
