Description
It was a sunny day when Zyra, Taka, and Mufasa were born. Uru knew it was law to betroth one of her sons to the female... and Mufasa had more rights to the female than Taka, as the golden cub was the older, but tradition flew out the window as she watched Taka and Zyra try to scoot over to each other, regardless that they were only minutes old. Suddenly, Taka flopped out of his mother's paws, forming an odd pose where only his chin and upper chest touched ground. He snorted, dust clogging his nose. Uru laughed again, her decision clear. Taka's future wife would be Zyra.

About six months passed, and in that time, Taka and Zyra had grown well out of their spots, also welcoming Zyra's little sister, Sarabi, who would become Mufasa's wife.Naanda, the oldest of Ambata's brood, was happy to have free will and choice of mate, unlike her sisters.But Zyra wouldn't have had it any other way, for the prince and future bride loved each other even at their young age, often bathing each other instead of letting their moms do the job, always watching out for one another. Uru had done many wrong things in her life, but that betrothal was not one of them.
