ummmm yeah had no idea where to post this so I just kinda went where it looked like it should fit. Just a collection of pictures I took of my hand at work today. u___u I feel kind of lame but I've decided its a good first step...concentrate on one thing at a time! Hope it helps some of you too! I's plans on sketching every single one of these hand poses. Also please forgive the bad pictures of me XD; Not really taken for the purpose of making myself prettier XDD! Please dont flame me, but if this is supposed to be a resource to artists who have trouble with drawing hands (which is understandable) whats wrong with the artist just putting theyre own hand in the exact position that they want and draw off of that..?

Its not really meant to be a resource for set poses or anything, in fact I mostly just wanted to draw hands in different angles unrelated to specific poses as an opportunity to have a sheet of hands to practice drawing. Never said other people couldn't look from their own hands right? Just thought I'd up the contrast levels and let other people study from what I'm currently doing for myself too.

You should do one with more perspecitve. I'm doing a picture right now and I'm trying to find something close to it. It's a profile and her arm is sticking straight out at whomever and she's suppossed to be holding a sword... but it looks terrible xD

do you have a camera or a tripod stand? Many many times I have set my camera timer and then run to the other side of my room and gotten into the pose. Because the person who knows best what you want to draw is yourself right? I just did these as an opportunity to sketch hands at work with my cellie, not quite as much mobility for running to the other side of my room there XD; Mostly intended to get better at understanding the function and construction of hands.

This makes me remember that the graphic art test for the entrance of art school was "draw you foot"! >o<
An interesting experience for I used to draw more hands (I have one in my scraps that I did for the said exam) than feet and forgot to shade the ankles of half of the drawings. ^_^'
