Anyway, here’s a bit of an experimental piece I was thinking about for a while.

It’s actually a fourth time I have done a picture with a photo-background like this (here’s the first , second and third ), but this is the first time that the drawn parts have been purposely designed around the photo, rather than simply being inserted from a pre-existing drawing. Aside from a celestial being, the editing also includes a reddish filter over sky, a bit of a lighting adjustment, and the clouds. The original had skies that were blue, bright and clear, which I felt did not mesh well with the intended mood.

At least in part, the inspiration for this picture came from Bloodborne, particularly from Amygdalae perching on cathedrals .

The real world location used for background is the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Angel city, Oregon.
