wow hey i submitted a work in progress
completely inspired by anberlin's cities, mostly by the tracks "début" and "godspeed". GREAT CD, GO LISTEN TO IT.

the figure buildings 1 buildings 2 this isn't done because i plan to glue some sketchbook paper that looks like broken glass onto the bottom, and make it stick out a bit using foam core. and then use the matereals above to make more images in the glass. =] in the end, i think it'll be one of my best.
hm. i think this one might belong in my other gallery......

okay. perspective. awesome. amazing. brilliantly conceived and illustrated. I mean the shoes! I can never draw shoes from that angle and you've done such a fantastic job with them. And the buildings!oh my god the buildings are just gorgeous! I mean, the perspective isn't photographic realistic but you really get the sense of chaos and motion - and the way they bend in on the edges is just absolute love. It's like a swirling bubble of a world. You're so good with the shadows too - personally I'm not a big fan of charcoal but you did it so well D:
And the actual FALLING - it feels like he is falling. crazy. the flow of his body and clothes is so dynamic - freaking talented you are!
and since you encouraged critique, just one. aimalicious mentioned a darker ink outline around the figure. I think it would work really well since this is a perspective from above everything, so he's closer to the viewer than the buildings and should pop out a little more. Not with an outline around all of him but maybe a little darker around the legs and feet - the part closest to us. yes.
just excellent, fabulous job with this. If this is a WIP, I can't wait to see it finished
