The first thing I thought of when I saw this...when I was 12 I visited yellowstone and spent quiet a lot of time walking the trails in the Land of Ten Thousand Smokes...you could look down the agate lined steam vents into almost boiling water for nearly 20 feet...and the agate lining had a glow to it in the afternoon light...
