wish i could create something more "realistic", like a painting etc. but i get stuck everytime.

I wish I could help you with ideas but not only do I work with different programs but I don't have my own defined style neither.
Perhaps you should try a program such as Painter? (I don't know which version, nor do I know which company owns it now.) It has a wide variety of brushes, and you could always alternate the workflow between it and Photoshop

hmm good idea. i'll try painter or maybe some digital art classes, to improve my skills.

it's very frustrating when i don't feel able to "materialize" my ideas.

I know what you mean. I'm struggling with a personal project as I'm typing this. Of course, nothing ever turns out as I want it to be
