Description
Based on an articulated metal fish pendant that I have.Can you find the constellation?
This had been a long-time WIP; first because I'd run out of golden acrylic, and then because it was stuffed away in a box. Those of you who have been here since 2014 might remember this sketch: Sketchavember - 'Draw from Life' Well, it's finally painted and finished!

This is really cool! Love how you incorporated gold in your painting. (Gold gives that extra touch). The design of the fish is really nice. Makes me wonder if there's some kind of story to it.

haha I love adding gold paint to stuff XP I started just doing it with traditional works, but now I'm doing it to digital works, too; I think I have a problem lol
The fish is based on a pendant I have. I actually found an old photo of it in my sta.sh the other day, here: 1-drawing And I added all the extra colors and filigree. The sketch for this painting started as a thing for a sketch-a-day-for-a-month challenge, following the prompt "sketch from life" and I just had it lying around that day, so I did that. Since I still had time remaining after I was done, I added the moon puddle, and after that, my time ran out. Much later, I decided to make a proper painting out of that sketch, so here's the result.

Just came over from the feature yourself journal ... and I'm absolutely fascinated! You found yourself a new watcher!
The way you use watercolour is just wonderful! You managed to paint the fish's body so that it looks quite solid and metal like and the tail fin like some transparent cloth. The details on the fish are great and the gold paint on top of it gives such a feeling that it seems to be almost 3D around the head part.
