Description I happened to discover a pair of nesting Flickers. I was hoping to get some shots of the babies but between work and bad weather, I didn't get there at the right time. I got a lot of pics of them landing at the nest opening though.

Thanks, and thanks for the fave! It was fortunate that they kept coming back to the same place, it gave me opportunity to both experiment and correct my errors. Usually I have to take the shot quickly and take what I get....

Thanks! The nest is empty now, so that's all for this year. While I was watching (for hours!) I did see some other interesting birds so I'm planning to go back to the same area to see if I can capture them. It's raining this weekend though.

I know the feeling! I always imaging life is like falling down. You jump out of your cloud( thiking like if great and safe) and the longer you fall (older you get and life gets harder to handle) the faster you go. until you hit the ground in a big splash!!! But the funny thing is, I wouldn’t go back if I had the chance. Would you?

I've been thinking about this since I saw it and still don't know the answer! I would like to go back with the knowledge I have now. I sure would make different decisions next time around! But then, my life then, made my life now, what would it be like if it were different? I wouldn't go back if I had to do the same though... So I guess I agree with you....
