For years, audiences had gone wild over The Great Ancelotti's disappearing clothes trick , but after a while he began to feel that his act needed a new centerpiece. Something that would really blow people away.

That's why he developed his own take on the infamous "pull a rabbit out of the hat" trick. Originally he had wanted to shrink his assistant and pull her out of the hat, but his current employee - a woman named Janice - had not been too keen on the idea. She already found the "disappearing clothes" trick to be embarrassing enough, and this new idea just sounded far too belittling to her.

So instead, each night he selected a female volunteer from the audience to participate. It made it all seem more convincing anyway, he decided, and sure enough the crowds instantly fell in love with the new feat of magic. Not only was the volunteer shrunk to an extraordinary size and pulled out of an improbably small hat, but her clothes were transformed into a cute bunny outfit. Nobody was quite sure how all of this was accomplished, but most agreed it was probably an optical illusion involving mirrors.

As for Janice, she still had a special role to play in the performance - much to her consternation.
