I have to say this is impeccable photography. The contrast, framing, lighting, posing, exposure and composition are excellent.
It evokes lots of different emotions and highlights so much about the models and ourselves as viewers. I am truly and honestly impressed with the friendship and bravery of the models, because with all of the cultural ideals and negativity it can be hard to express the raw truth of loving people that don't meet the "cultural" norm.
All people are people worth respect and love. I believe that "Judge not lest ye be judged" also fits prominently into the full appreciation of what this image portrays.
I like that at the same time that it presents contrast, it also presents similarity. It exposes our prejudice for what it is and how shallow our expectations can be.
This image seems to be less about the obesity epidemic and more about freindship and love overcoming cultural obstacles and preconceptions.

No I do more than that : I studied biology. An endocrinal gland problem (hypophyse and thyroid) can make your body take huge proportions as well as the use of certain medication, even if you eat normally and healthy. Of course medicine can help you but it is expensive and not without risk.
