I'm so unbelievably proud of this picture! I've been dying to draw my Bullet again ^^

Well, this is Bullet's first real competition out of racing, and he's barely trained, but ready to go and showing far too much attention to keep him back home - at least he's competing with (against actually) his dad (Sky ) so he'll have someone to talk to at least

Bullet's heart was pounding as he stretched out his gallop and ran as fast as he could up the bank, making a gallivant leap upwards, thrusting out his right hoof, which met soft turf, and hauled his body upwards.
Grant hung on with expertise, urging the stallion to move faster and faster with every stride, and Bullet obeyed as much as he was allowed – since he had been taught to listen to different aids for galloping now, rather than in his racing days. Grant’s entre body was heavier than Richard’s (his jockey) and it felt strange to be asked to run so fast over such natural terrain whilst a passenger so much larger than usual took much more control than the Thoroughbred had been originally taught.

The transition from racing to Eventing was a hard one, and Bullet still fought his old ways to hear a bell or the slam of a gate and rush forward at a full-pace gallop. It was also strange, to mention again, the sheer size of the riders he now had. Richard was barely taller than Kimber, who was now 13, and throughout his re-training had had been sat on, jumped and pulled into outlines by a man almost double his size and weight – Frankie Oaks.
There was a sort of mutual respect that every horse had for Frankie, since they knew they would never get away with any pissing about whilst he was even in the area, and so they were always on their best behaviour around him. They then just waited for him to wander off, before throwing in a buck to knock off their unsuspecting rider – a favourite pastime of the stallions.
Grant Meryz was his newest rider, and had been the only man to ever ride him over cross-country jumps out in the field, which was the most alien thing Bullet had ever experienced. He never could distinguish between a normal grazing field or when he was supposed to be jumping over things – which led to him leaping out of his pasture several times and getting his head shaken harshly to tell him off. It really was confusing to be a horse. However, he trusted Grant more than anyone else, as did almost all the horses at Beaumont. Grant had first been given Malibu to train and ride, and they were now an unbeatable team, as well as riding Catch and training him almost all on his own, and being partnered with Ali, Bacardi and Fancy all within a few months, and excels with them all.

Another jump loomed ahead and Bullet leapt up and over it cleanly, feeling Grant give him a pat on his sweaty, frothy neck and urge him on with his voice, not his legs, and Bullet snorted, putting in a long stride before clearing a table jump.
“Good boy!” Grant gasped, tugging the reins gently and pushing Bullet faster and faster towards the next jump.
