haha, we usually use around 20-30 sticks on average for a piece that is 5 feet by 7 feet and this piece is a little smaller at 5 feet by 4 feet.

try 24 minutes later. It rained shortly after we finished it. And we had to stop during it for rain and cover it with a tarp while we waited for the rain to pass. But it's ok, once it is washed away, we can do another picture there

I guess that's the price of street art, especially with chalk. Was there ever a piece you finished and didn't want it to wash away or get removed, that you had it on paper?

hmm, not really. I am glad to do commission work on masonite board, and have that permanently for the person that will keep it, but I am ok with the art work going away. I guess I am used to it

I suddenly remember a graffiti I saw years ago. It covered the entire face of the building. It was of Spiderman and the Green Goblin flying after him, with explosions in the background, it was amazing. Then a week later it was taken down which was a shame cause the building was ugly as fuck. I don't know why they take some of these down. If it was just a giant skwiggle and a splat I could understand.

That does sound awesome! I am actually surprised a mural got taken down since It seems like most of the times buildings put murals on the walls and keep them there. Though I do know I have been to a competition where they also did murals on the walls and eventually they did get taken down. But in that case it makes sense because they hold the competition there every year so need the walls to be clean for the next year.

Brits, we're weird bastards when it comes to that kinda stuff. I'm sure if they found a Banksy they'd paint over it. There's a tag kinda near me and it's... I don't know really. It's like a star, a square and a smiley face meshed together; that's been there for nearly 3 years now.

We do take down Banskys, I've never seen one and London is his HQ. The tag... it looks like someone was drunk when they did it, which I'm sure they were.
