I would say the eyes are always the most difficult thing to get right, one adjustment by a few pixels and suddenly it goes fro perfect to derpy looking.

Seriously, though, what I changed in the updated picture wasn't her eyes. It was her hair. It seems making realistically opaque hair doesn't look good.
