yeh it was 50-50 tbh I only used a small portion of a texture brush bu then the rest I used highlights n stuff with a hard brush
plus blending

I have photoshop cs6 or I use photoshop cc and so pretty much yeh I use photoshop but I also have knowledge in sketchbook pro
