This is an AMAZING base that you have made! I really like the way the eyes are made and the different colors for each pony is very helpful. But, here is my only gripe with the entire base. The eyes. While, yes, they are very beautiful, but this is a base. With a base, you need the eyes as simple as possible. Yes, take creative liberties, but please don't put shading on the actual eye ball. I really do like the lashes on the eyes, and the overall style makes it stand out from the crowd. I recommend putting a reference to the type of eye you are looking for, but making the other eyes all the usual type of eye. If you wish to put this into your work, go ahead. If you don't, that's perfectly fine. I can still see why you did what you did with the eyes so either way, it's still very much a beautiful base.

Hello! I'm so glad you like this, and thank you for the critique! I will admit I'm sometimes on the fence about the shading on the eye, but a lot of the artists I see tend to add it anyway so I try to keep it minimal. I want my bases to be available for everyone, hence why things like wings, horns, and eyelashes are optional in case one chooses not to use them. I want my bases to be easy for everyone to use, but you just can't please everyone, but you can pick a solution that pleases the most people possible, and optional details seem to be the best method as far as I've concluded. ^^ As for the eyelashes, I just really like more 'flowing' eyelashes that follow the eyeline rather than the ones in the show. Of course, not everyone likes the same eyelashes as I do, so I make them optional so it's easier to change them if you so please.
