Everyone's saying he sensed the magic but honestly I think a giant explosion and your handy little defense vacuum screaming "ERROR" is hard to miss too.
I sure hope Steve ALSO heard that though providing he didn't go deaf from the explosion, because if he still didn't, he has some mighty fine earplugs in, damn. Or maybe he's just in another trippy flashback.

Small details like those spell cards, that means there is potentially so much more possibilities and make me dream of what those might be, and what more there is to be discovered in this universe you're sharing
On a more down to earth level:
Damn that is some super practical healing! What are the cost? I mean, I don't think those cards come cheap? But if they do, then everyone probably has some, but I don't think so, because she had someone else make those and she said "some" which imply spell cards (or healing ones?) might be rare?
Still super practical and the visual is also super cool with the stitches!
