I think when someone's core glows when they are using their powers the color of the glow represnts the color of the magic. Notch's power is gold so his core glows gold. Vile's power is green so his core glows green. Hero's core is a different story since it glows both red and blue probably depending on his state of mind. And that probably is Entropy's sister.

Well maybe when the original core was split up the blue meant the good powers and the red the bad powers or that is how a split up core looks like in general such as when Cat was split up there could've been a blue and red half of Cat's split up core. But this is only a theory.

Half of the original being, Entropy sibling I mean. I had wondered, and now it's official. At least I think it is. It would make sense if that was who we see in the first panel.

Maybe and Entropy is colored white this one has a darker complexion. It also looks like they were in a fight. Maybe Entropy before she as she was injured and being imprisoned attacked her sister and cut her neck.

Well it kinda said it in the prophecy
Two sisters borne of ancient blood
Who battled for ten centuries
Then Black rose kingdoms from the mud
While White fought for her entropy
Expansion and destruction found
A balance through their earthly lands
But malcontentment brought White down
To madness in the face of man
The chaos was too much to bear
For one set on a barren realm
Eradication through despair
It was the purpose White would helm
Disgusted by her sister's rage
Black banished her to voided space
Where soon she sterilized her cage
And Turned the natives of that place
A gateway for her work to start
Young innocence shall set her free
Stopped by the five, her family's heart
Beware, beware, her entropy

Black created kingdoms and life of some sort but, white wanted chaos because of their disagreement they fought each other for 1,000 years.
White caused so much chaos and destroyed a lot or maybe all of the land hence the barren land and Cat and Notch creating things in that barren land.
Black was disgusted by White and they probably had a confrontation where Black managed to wound White and banish her to the Void.
During that White managed to injure Black severely and that caused her core to split into Cat and Notch, who recreated the world and ruled. That is pretty much when the first part of Sundown happens.
Though the prophecy foretold that White turned the Void and its inhabitants to work for her.
It also foretold that the Aer. necromancer child would come to the Void unknowingly and become White's host.
It is possibly that those 5 possessed weapons could stop White though I am not fond of the dagger for causing Sam's dad to go crazy and kill Sam.
Entropy basically means Chaos BTW.
So that's what I think and sorry this is terribly long and possible unraveled some things.
