Description
Anyone who faced the Bearers of the Sacred Flesh in battle was invariably defeated, for these warriors from the race of sercehins don't know mercy. Their bone armor is an unbreakable barrier for enemy weapon. Their power is immeasurable; a hundred human warriors are not worth the slightest drop of blood boiling under the bone armor of the sercehins. But there are times when even such great warriors as Bearers of the Sacred Flesh cannot withstand the power of their enemy. For Dero the Bleeding, the so-called Monster of Pestilence has became such an enemy. A gigantic monster, with a hundred mouths located all over the skinny body, instead of blood that Dero could absorb even through the slightest wound of the enemy, thereby increasing his strength and healing the injuries, the Monster of Pestilence had a poisonous ichor that poisoned any life that was it spilled on. Possessing indestructible health, the Bearer of the Sacred Flesh was able to resist the poison that the wounds of the monster had spill out, although it should be noted that, nevertheless, the fighting qualities of the sercehin were seriously undermined. So, in the end, the monster was defeated, and Dero lost his left hand in that fight, while the right one was terribly crippled (later the right hand was restored).
Since then, Dero the Bleeding (it was after the events associated with the Monster of Pestilence that he received this name) became the owner of the sacred shroud, which blessed by the priests of the sercehins. This shroud not only conceals the injuries of the Bearer, but also prevents the unstoppable bleeding from a terrible wound that now gapes in place of a severed arm.
