With all due respect, I'm not going to answer this. Because it should be very obvious, and asking this is a bit disrespectful. All that should matter is that it is troublesome and a bit triggering for a sexual abuse survivor. Let's leave it at that because I don't want to discuss this any further.

I had a whole long response to this planned out but to be honest I cba. You're not gonna change your manner of criticism just because of some weirdo's comment. Maybe I'd care more if this were a piece of art I considered noteworthy, but actually it's just gore for the sake of gore (dull). I didn't mean to be disrespectful by asking, I was just curious, and the answer wasn't obvious at all to me, despite the fact that we share the survivor status. Anyway, I said I cba, but I've written a long response regardless so I guess I lose.

I gave my opinion, as people are sometimes prone to do when images with a slightly controversial subject matter are put up on public forums for other people to look at.

It's called critique. It happens. Perhaps instead of claiming that I am just picking on you, take this commentary in stride and process it for whatever you create something in the future.

Did I not mention that I'm a sexual abuse survivor? Or was that little tidbit of information lost on you? Yes, I probably wouldn't play that game because of the kind of imagery that's in it. Why not just take this as a criticism regarding the implications that your artistic style might have and move on with your day?

There's no need for apologies; just understanding. There is a fine line to walk when it comes to how your art is interpreted, and I say this as someone who has been in the industry for 20 years. I'm not talking about people getting offended by the way. I mean the way your work reflects on you as a voice that uses art to communicate. I hope that made sense. Anyway, I'm off to make some art myself. Have a good one.
