Description
An integral part of all the tribes of the Saltunian Lurkers are tribal hunters. Hunters serve as earners and the defenders of the tribe. The main weapons of Lurker-hunters are bone daggers (for example, made of coccyx bone). Also, sometimes a stone-made tool with a curved blade is used (probably used for chopping thick skin, bones, etc.)
Although the tribes of the Saltunian Lurkers lead a fairly primitive way of life, but some technological things are present in their lives. The so-called beastial mask is one such thing.
The beastial mask isn't only the ceremonial part of the clothes (in general Lurkers don't wear clothes, exception is mask of hunters and things which Lurkers dress for some ceremonies) and protection for the face, it is also a weapon that helps hunters cope with the largest and most dangerous prey. The mask contains a blowgun, through which hunters can spit out clots of caustic substance, for example, to blind a dangerous predator or soften incredibly thick skin and do one accurate and deadly blow.
Lurkers themselves cannot emit caustic substances that are used for hunting. This substance is obtained by mixing the fluid secreted by the Lurker glands and some specially harvest grass. Trying for get this caustic substance, Lurkers chew grass before hunting, keeping it in the sinuses under the mandibles. Thus, hunters get about 5-6 spits ( to the substance has more holistic composition and in order the caustic spit flew more precisely and further, along with special grass, all hunters have to eat small stones or pits of some fruits.
