Very creepy drawing! i read the book when i was 9 25 years ago and saw the movie in theaters when i was 6 going on 7 in Omaha, nice book.
The Wendigo is a creepy monster spirit eh? afterall it was the one who cursed the ground and possessed the corpses of Gage, Timmy, Rachel, Church and the other animals who were buried in the ground.

While it isn't my favourite among King's work it's, but the protagonist's meeting with the wendigo me so impressed that I just had to it though as that memorializing)

And you think the reanimated aren't zombies but rather more like demon possessed corpses like Deadites and come back as demons who come back to torment the living as they know other living humans's secrets in their closets?

I'm more inclined to believe that "zombies" are nothing more than a shell, a vessel for the daemon (in this case, the Wendigo)

Zombies are just mindless undead or experimental creatures, the PS reanimated are demons possessed by the Wendigo and even though they do eat humans flesh since Wendigos are cannibalistic they aren't mindless and they are smart cunning and clever demons and know of secrets of living humans.
Afterall morphine injections can't kill zombies you know.
And you familar with Deadites? that's what the PS reanimated demon corpses fall in.
Even the Creepshow Something to Tide you Over creatures aren't zombies but vengeful spirits or reveneants.

Yet a bullet in the head or dismemberment can kill a possessed demon corpse like the Deadites. And fire can rid the Wendigo out of the corpses right?

Gus was quite zombie-like though in pet sematary 2 and he wasn't affected when shot in the chest. And Zowie had no pulse when he was checked by the vet, so morphine wouldn't have done anything, like it did Gage and church in the first film.

I don't think they're zombies, as zombies can't talk and they're visibly rotting like in the Walking Dead, plus they're caused by a virus that re-animates the brain and not by a demon that wants to trick, terrorize and screw with people's minds for fun.
