An AEGIS Cruiser Ship named Mirai! FYI (sorry if I'm a bit too braggy!) But a warship is bigger than a cruiser ship (A warship or battleship is like the rank of the Yamato...)

But hey! You draw quite good. And it inspires to submit my own fanart for Zipang! Right now I'm practicing Kadomatsu and Kusaka since they are the center of the story.

I love Zipang very, very much... I'm glad to see some fanart of the Mirai but at the same time, it's kinda sad not seeing much character art from this fine series on DA... anyway, that's something I can easily remedy (and will refrain from speaking of until later on- if I continue this train of thought that is)

I'll just say this (since it's important and should have been stated first...) : Thank you for liking Zipang enough to illustrate the Mirai
(I have to admit, it is quite mind-boggling and frustrating that the one to name the entire series is Lieutenant Kusaka-san of all people! ...why is it that the series isn't named for the ship of the protagonists from the future? *has only watched 16 episodes*)

by the way, Zipang is on my top-tier in my anime rankings (and that's after having watched several over the years *still quite young though*)

I think you got the designation name wrong because its DDG-182 (from wikipedia), as for your Phalanx CIWS it looks more like the Dutch goalkeeper CIWS with a chain gun excluding the R2D2 like top, and I can't help but say your 127 mm turret also looks more like the US 127mm cannon because the Mirai and Japanese Kongo class ships all use the Italian Otobretta 127 mm turret. Overall its a great pic, and all you need to do is use the real Jap Kongo class destroyer as a feference or pictures of the manga or anime Mirai itself.

Okay, I drew the hull and it looks just like the Mirai from the Anime, but I didn't draw the guns, weapons, radar, any equipment. I don't know what a Vulcan Phanlanx looks like, well I do but I only got a terrible picture of a Vulcan Phanlanx on the USS Missouri when I was visiting, and the picture was from bad angle. I found some nice pics of 127mm turret which i'll draw tonight, and I really need to find a pic of a Tomahawk Missile, I can only find pics of them launching and the exhaust and flames keeps ruining the pic, LOL. I'm in the mood for drawing a Digi today, hmm...Sealsdramon...

you drew it very well!!

maybe you could try drawing the ships from different angels?

to brighten your drawings you need to look at your scanners brightness / contrast settings, or open the picture into a program like photoshop or paintshop pro to alter the brightness / contrast
