Base wasn`t always my fursona, in high school I dressed in clothes that were not leather, and were not biker.This is Summoner Fox, Shawn, me, from High School.
The character design was made by a friend of mine back then, and it stuck well, and I still love the design to this day. Yes, those are sneakers, soap shoes in fact.
Oh, and by the way, the word on the shirt is "KILL".

A friend of mine in high school actually came up with the clothing design, I just improved on it a bit.
He drew an image of a few of his friends, me included, and I was wearing a shirt that said "Kill" jeans, shoes, and a red scarf. So I went with it. XD
