Description
We believe in one God, the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earthbelief that flows from somewhere outside of me
something that I left behind
Of all things seen and unseen
along the road to here
I lie beside you and recite words that burn my throat
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God
wonder that used to fill me up, hold me up
above all of this
begotten, not made, one in being with the Father,
now I stand within it all
And you hold me still, make me whole, make me burn
For us and for our salvation
I'm lost amidst the tangled sheets and little worlds
that live between you and I
He came down from heaven
And I wonder, if he came to save me, while it still hurts to breath
being with you.

Your additions certainly flow well with the prayer. Interesting.

Hm, don't actually know the Nicene Creed. Not in-depth. It been a while since I read it, comparatively with other Creeds or what have you. Interesting though. ^_^

Its basically the prayer Catholics recite during mass that states what they believe...its much longer than what I used in the poem
