Would I be a better person if I were the same person 100% of the time?

I am very concerned because I fear my own willingness and ability to abandon my apparent identity on such short notice and for such a brief period of time, just to avoid something that would have minor negative consequences or result in mild discomfort or inconvenience. I imagined it like this...the idea of burning wood into ashes is to change the wood into ashes. Not into fire.

You do not become the change itself.

I used to know myself so well, but now I feel as though I know so many different versions of myself that I cannot even comprehend which qualities are mine and which are those of people as whom I felt the need to exist. I fear becoming my own volatility.

I sense the need to cease this change, and in doing so I will change.
