Personality: Vernon is pretty jaded and will rarely smile, especially when first meeting someone. He prefers to avoid conversation during the day and will insult others to keep them at bay. He can quickly be angered if the wrong button is pushed but under it all there is a soft, scared side that few have come to know.
Vernon is a lot more mild but will still fall back to his old habits if someone angers him. He will smiles now, but not very often. He still doesn't trust people very easily.

History: When Vernon was born as a happy-go-lucky Hoppip to a single mother. His father, Kayle, had left to run an errand a few days before he was about to hatch and never came back. No one knows what had happened to him.
Growing up, his mom, Millie; and his sister, Abby; took care of him. Those days he enjoyed sitting outside in the sun and drifting the in wind. One day, his mom got a boyfriend. He was a mean caturne.
His mother never noticed his mean behavior because he only acted that way when she wasn't around. "Yer too pink! A boy shouldn't be pink and girly-like!" He would yell. Vernon resented this man and trained hard every night until he finally evolved a year later.
By then, that man and his mom got married, and he hated him even more. "Shoot, now there's a flower on yer head?! What kind of self-respecting man goes aroun' with a flower on ‘is head!?" He would then say. Vernon would argue that this is just the jumpluff life cycle, but it didn't matter to the man.
His sister would try to defend her brother throughout these times but her efforts were fruitless, and soon after she had gone off to college to study accounting. His hatred deepened and he grew to hate how he looked. Vernon never told his mom about the caturne because she seemed happier than she used to be when she was partner-less.
He continued to train at night and only at night; because in the sunlight not only his chlorophyll ability would activate, but also he would become jolly and giddy in the sun’s rays as most skipploom, hoppip, and jumpluff do. This affected him the most since he had remained indoors most of the days so he could train at night. Two years passed and he evolved into a jumpluff. Both he and his step-father disliked his new look. His mouth naturally twisted into a dorky smile and he was just 3 balls of fluff! He had known what he’d look like from his mother but he never thought of how it would look on HIM. He changed his appearance gradually first by turning his top fluff ball inside out and his make-up and clothing style soon followed into his teen years. He felt that this was a better. Vernon started to sulk most of the day. He practiced scowling so that goofy smile would not be on his face as long as he was conscious. His mother was worried and his step-father pretended to as well. Millie had seen him train, and when she heard about Armonia- she sent him off. Vernon agreed if it would get him away from that monster of a step-father.
Vernon has learned to accept himself and will soon confront his step-father.
