Description
Her name is Cilantro, although the leaves aren't cilantro leaves. shruggu

this is sort of a mascot/sona i guess, but i ended up giving her a bio so i might move her to my character world, or reuse some of her abilities on another character

She's about the size of a medium sized dog.
She's actually genderless but likes female or neutral pronouns
She can eat just about anything you'd toss in the compost, and actually prefers rotting food. Luckily the weird nectar spit she drools smells like flowers, so her diet doesn't make her TOO disgusting.
Wouldn't recommend getting bit though.
Likes basking in the sun, climbing things. Dislikes being touched. Can be suspicious and tempermental, but isn't overtly hostile, just generally grouchy and closed off. Enjoys riddles, jokes, word games, poetry and anything to do with language. Can't communicate verbally, but can communicate in sign language (all four of her paw/hands are very dextrous), and write.
Those eyes can emote, despite the mouth and nose on her face not being real

Powers/Abilities/
-If you sit next to her too look she'll start mumbling your thoughts in your voice. She doesn't appear to do this on purpose, and will avoid staying in close proximity to anyone for longer than a few hours at a time because of it.
-Can understand any language spoken to her out loud. Seems to only be able to read a few languages, but if you speak to her she'll understand. This power extends somewhat even to animals, very young children, and people with disabilities regarding language to a small extend. She can't converse with animals, but she'll understand their basic intent. She seems to actively dislike that this power doesn't really help her communicate with other mutes who don't use the same sign language, there needs to be vocalization for some reason. This power seems to make music and singing affect her in strange ways. The mood of the singer at the time of recording / singing will be conveyed to her
- kind of a plant. seems to require sunlight and drinks water up from her vine tongue. can regrow limbs, and they start as small stiff little wooden growths that sprout into hands then turn fleshy when they reach maturity. her head regrows the same way, her tongue will just sprout from whatever point at the neck it was chopped off and keep absorbing food that way as the head slowly grows back
-those spines are poisonous.
