Description
This is chaplain Erebus of the Word bearers legio astartes(He's the one who corrupted Horus). This is a pre-heresy picture, but I wanted to make him sinister as if he's allready harbouring dark thoughts. He's holding a crozius with Word bearers icon and has an mk IV. artificer armour with religious writings writen in the language of Colchis(Word bearers' home world)Don't bother asking where's the rest of him

Doesn't he have more writings tattooed all over his scalp too? I might be wrong since I read the book a long time ago. Now that I think of it, I think it was only on his deathmask not on his actual head. Good job! I like when people draw actual characters from the Horus Heresy and not just the over used marine.

You are right. Anathame was the name of the sword whitch Erebus stole from the Interex and gave to Eugen Temba. He than mortaly wounded warmaster Horus and that eventualy started the heresy. The sword was later misteriously taken from the apothecaries of Luna wolves by Fabius Bile, the first apothecary of Emperor's children legion and given to primarch Fulgrim.

I really like his crozius and the religious writings. Doesn't the word bearers legion have a face in it or is that just after they became chaos? Also when making the writing on armour do u just make it up or do u actually have a reference?

Well, the book with the flame is actualy the pre-heresy legion insignia. I'm making the writings up, but I wanted to make them look like arabic.

Brilliant piece of work. The lack of his awesome scalp tattoos is the only flaw I can see. Erebus is one of my favorite characters in the whole of HH/40k.

HH books tell us that Erebus has tattooed script from the Book of Lorgar on his bare scalp, to better intimidate his foes

Yeah, we see that he is pre-heresy : he hasn't chaotic litany all around his head... I imaginated him skin-headed, but, why not ? Otherwise, it's a great job, for a great character (and a fuc... traitor !).

I think that was Kor Phaeron who managed to convert Lorgar and the legion to chaos, then they send Erebus, (who was trusted by Horus) to Luna Wolves legion to corrupt Horus

i say this, 'cause you're publishing so many pictures, and then i lokk at me: too lazy to finish drawings, and without time to draw cause of school (38 hours per week) + music classes and so on... and in a few days also a girlfriend 
and i am submitting evey few weeks a drawing xD ....
