Description
I have been meaning to get a tutorial up for ages, but sadly it's been delayed because of the sheer complicatedness of it. @_@So, I decided to stick this smaller one up for right now. How to make a jelly eyeball in Illustrator. I threw this together, so please forgive the oogliness of it. I also made this tutorial for someone who has a very basic understanding of Adobe and how their programs work, so this may not be suitable for someone who has never used Illustrator before. I tried to make it as simple as possible, but please ask questions if there's something you dont get.
Enjoy!

Thank you for that tutorial! It isn't step-by-step, but you noted the most important parts and left enough room for creativity. With that I learned some basics about the pen tool and the point selevtor which I had problems with in so-called "professional" tutorials.

Hmm, well, for the most part. Everything makes kind of sense. Except that Im clueless at everything. Let's first start with the pen though...I have a hard time actually using that tool. Can you explain it more?

That's a VERY beautiful eye! This tutorial is excellent, you go step by step to explain how to use those pens. It also helps me a lot since I know next to nothing about Adobe Illustrator. &

ok I have a question, and this may sound like a simple one but, (btw I am just learning this program) how do you change from a soft round to a hard round?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
bassanimation In reply to MikaRen [2009-01-25 00:09:22 +0000 UTC]
If you click once on the same point (while you have the pen tool selected) it will get rid of one of the handles and basically make it a corner point.

Neat, nice work! It's a good base to start with. A lot of people are so bedazzled by vectors. It's really easy, you just have to wrangle the pen tool a bit.
