YES! these apartment blocks! It's like.... ARGH >_< I love that stuff but I am just so bad at drawing it (and COINCIDENTIALLY I have two wips where I wanted to draw exactly that of course... one more painful than the other, because I am an apt fan of ridiculously-difficult-angles at which I fail again and again -_- no wait... 3... 3 WIPS... 4... urhg... I should stop trying to count those wips that are somewhere far back buried in my mind... I can't even find one of them anymore...)

well if it's proving too time consuming or just too much of a pain in the ass... here's a tip a lot of mangaka do now... use a downloadable freeware 3D program like Google Sketch Up, to create your rooms and your buildings, where you can save the design, view them from any angle and rotate them to serve as your base sketch. it's pretty easy to use. I use it sometimes, saves a lot of time and headache on those difficult angles

that is... a really good idea actually o.O I always thought 3d models would help a lot, because trying to find a picture that one thing in exactly that angle that you need is... yeah... I am sure you know what I mean xD I fear my biggest problem, though, is, that I am so very random at what I am drawing, that I tend to just... draw what comes to my mind and when I don't like it just.. draw something completely different... I guess I have a bit of trouble with some perspectives and just no patience for details <_<... BUT I will try! Especially for the wip of a chara I have not posted on my profile so far (I am hard pressed to call him an OC, he is a biblical/religious figure after all) which is... grand and a bit more elaborate than what I usually draw (damned city... damned light...stuff...), but yes, good idea, I will look Google Sketch Up up ^w^ Maybe that way I will finally go and draw a bit more background art and not just some gradation with light spheres _-_ Thx so much for the tipΒ Β
