Yeah Blackrock Studios shutdown after the failure of Split/second due to a bad release timing since Red Dead Redemption came out on the same day.

Since the world of gaming, and entertainment for that matter, love to remaster and remake old things...then that should mean that all it will take for a reboot of the game with maybe a little bit of new stuff and it could be a bigger hit than the first time and possibly make a sequel to continue it. Timing is key with anything you make and present to the world.

It is possible since Disney still makes mobile games and Split/Second had a mobile version.
