Well, the rolls were less than stellar for both variances. Kokoro began being devoured due to a roll of 45 and 60 whereas Lara failed to fight off the creature with the numbers 82 and 88, very bad luck. Oh well, the show must go on...

I'll have to find a weapon, it's the only way I stand a chance against this thing. Leaving Kokoro alone for a moment, Lara scoured the room for a suitable bludgeon. The immediate area renders nothing of use, forcing her to expand her search to the entire room. "Waaahh! It's got my foot!" Kokoro screamed as the beast retracted its fangs and engulfed her right foot. It seemed as if it wanted to play with its meal by not skewering her with its massive teeth, a sentiment its victim is unaware of. "Hold on! I think I've got something!" Lara shot back across the room after breaking off a sizable table leg as a weapon. She charged the creature with club in hand, confident she would be able to best it. She hadn't anticipated its reaction however. The fish like creature suddenly spat out Kokoro's leg and responded in turn to Lara's assault, tackling the adventurer with the heft of its body. Such a blow easily floored Lara, causing her to drop her weapon and leave herself vulnerable. She

Pleased with the sudden appearance of another meal, it turned its attention back to its original victim. Kokoro remained stunned on her back, watching in horror as the beast incapacitated Lara and returned to finish her off. She finally managed to strengthen her resolve to move, but it was too late. The creature easily scooped her legs into its mouth and began swallowing her whole. Kokoro once more let out a bloodcurdling scream, praying that someone would come to her rescue. The sudden wail was enough to stir Lara to her feet again despite the daze she was in. "Let her go you bastard!" Lara cried in vain as she assailed the beast barehanded. Unfortunately, this was a catastrophic mistake on her part. The crawling menace suddenly widened its maw, causing Lara to punch it directly in the mouth. It then began ingesting the archaeologist's arm alongside Kokoro's slender form. The Asian beauty extended an arm fruitlessly toward Lara to assist her, but they were both defenseless in the face of its might. It was only a matter of time before it would devour them both at this rate...
