This piece of artwork captures The Legend of Zelda (1986, NES) completely. Back in the day, before GameFaq and YouTube walkthroughs, Ganon was a formidable boss to be feared! Not to discredit Ganondorf or any current/recent incarnations of the character, but the original Ganon was hardcore with it! He didn't chit chat with Link and explain why he did what he did. Ganon straight up wanted to kill Link! End of story! Anyway, a nice rendition of Level 9!

Thanks so much, MicWorthy. I have an enormous soft spot in my heart for that game and for its instruction manual's artwork. Sadly, they just don't make 'em like that anymore. Anyway, glad you liked the pic!

I hear you! Back in the day, we really didn't know much about Ganon. We didn't know what he looked like or what he could do. Our imaginations ran wild! The only real pictures we had of Ganon at that point were in the Zelda 1 instruction manual. It added to the mystery and made gaming fun!
