Description
I know I’ve already committed myself to the BFOI, but I HAD to fill one of these out for the hell of it!

Since she’ll just be an NPC, I’ll do a brief bio for her, and since I won't be going over the description as meticulously as I usually do for contest entries, SPELLING MISTAKES AHOY!

Lysis is about as studious as anyone can get, and devoted her young life to becoming a professor. Being sensitive to the psychic energies in her world, she focused on developing a thesis about the subject when she was around nine years of age. However she was side tracked in her goal when she became absolutely stumped as to why bug-types have an edge of psychic pokemon, and in an endeavour to discover why she ended up falling completely for the bug types and her focus shifted completely.

When she turned sixteen, her adoptive father urged her to get her nose out of her books and get some real life experience under her belt, to Lysis’ chagrin. But she reluctantly complied and now wonders how she could have ever not wanted to go do the league challenge.

With the Unova region under her belt, she’s begun researching the other regions, looking for rare and intriguing pokemon (preferably bug) and for scholarly challenges to test her intellect. She decided that the Battle Frontier was as good a place as any to begin her real life glimpse into what the other region’s trainers are capable of and to brush up on her tactics.

Astra: He’s the older sibling of Joltik pair that Lysis found abandoned at the edge of Chargestone Cave. Being an orphan herself Lysis felt she had to take them in, and despite his rocky entrance into the world, Astra loves life and all there is to offer, and adds the balance of optimism to Lysis’ sometimes pessimistic ways.

Guinevere: Escavalier had always been a pokemon of interest for Lysis, and even though she knew it would be difficult to get, she kept a slot open in her party until she found Guinevere. Being a bit of a loner, it took Guin sometime to get used to being part of a team, and automatically took on the responsibilities of being a leader. Born to be a honour bound knight, she’s precise and calm.

Baggy: As cool and aloof as her master, Baggy’s as arrogant as you can get while still being a compassionate being. Quite confident in her skills and her looks, she doesn’t display her talent unless she’s provoked. And while she’s much too proud to admit this, she has some feelings for Yarin.

Yarin: Her first pokemon and the one she’s most comfortable with. Though Lysis is reserved, and Yarin is bold, they both have a sarcastic and slightly sassy streak that they bonded over, and Lysis couldn’t imagine going anywhere without him. He enjoys batting alright, but would prefer to be on stage at the musicals in Nimbasa.

Shylo: A newer member to her team, Lysis acquired Shylo in an effort to emulate one of her only heroes who is a trainer, Steven Stone. Being a bit of a diva and dominant figure, she doesn’t get along with the resident Alpha female Guinevere, who considers her a flighty vulnerability to the stability of the team. Despite that Shylo is not as bad as she lets herself seem to be, and underneath her battle armour she’s quite caring for her new trainer.

Nephtys: A remnant of Lysis’ love and connection to psychic types, Lysis found Nephtys as much as Nephtys found her through their mutual psychic links, which is very strong in this Starmie, but dulled in Lysis. Nephtys however feels that this side of Lysis if nurtured could be potentially powerful, and while it is still a mystery to everyone including Lysis, it is a valuable member of the team.

Fun Fact: I had originally drawn all her 8 badges from the Unova region on the front of her bag and was SO PROUD; but then her stupid covered them up because I plan so great!

Fun Fact 2: Her feet are really really tiny.
