Description The idea for this one was borne from watching The Last Jedi and thinking I wanted to do some Star Wars photos. Clearly I was mistaken, since Hasbro doesn't put out as much for the 6" Black Series as they do for the 3.75" line. But while looking around at the figures they have done, I did start to notice that most of the figures are in a pretty good, pretty small 5.5-6" range, which means one thing to me:

More companions or antagonists or guest stars in my Doctor Who photos!

Kelly Marie Tran's turn as Rose was a delight in the movie. Opinions may vary, but I loved her part and her arc, small as it was, so I looked at her figure especially hard, wondering to myself if I did a photo, with whom of the Doctors could she accompany? Logic dictates that she would be a current Who companion, working alongside 9, 10, War Doctor, 11, or 12. But for some reason, as I was sizing her up properly, I began thinking how right she looked standing next to 4. Never mind the fact that Tom Baker's figure is one of the tallest of the range and therefore just looks more correct with other 6" figures, something about Rose as a companion standing next to the Fourth Doctor made all the sense in the world at the time and something I kind of want to explore. Course, she would have to be a completely different character since it would mean the Doctor had TWO Roses as his companions (but then it would be fitting at how lacking he was in surprise when he met Rose Tyler in 2005 since he'd already had a Rose travel with him). But there is also the headcanon of that period between The Deadly Assassin and The Face of Evil where the Doctor traveled alone...who is to say he hadn't picked up a few companions between leaving Gallifrey and then meeting Leela.

The picture itself was a dog to produce, because I couldn't quite get the balance of the Doctor and Rose running quite right. The end result sees them being balanced by the tassels of the Doctor's scarf. This picture came at nearly the end and was one of the better shots because it conveyed just the right amount of motion I wanted, as well as the action indicated by them running from an exploding Dalek. I like the aesthetic since this particular shot matches some of the show's real lighting, which I always try to get just so, and here I managed it.

Will I re-shoot this again in the future? You can just about bet on it. I wanted it to be true black with a colorful foreground and I failed there. It bothers me, but at least now I know what to do next time around.
