I just recently saw The Phantom of the Opera movie and I was blown away by it! I fell in love with the Phantom. I really liked how he had a power over Christine. Then while crusin through some stills of the movie I found the photo of this drawing. I loved it so much that I sat at my dining room table and drew it for 4 hours. I worked really hard on it (especially the phantom's hands) and I am really proud of the ending result. I did with a number two pencil, just in case you were wondering! it is actually the part at the end when he is singing part of 'all I ask of you'....when he is being a bit more gentle with her than the 'raging fire' part.

Ohh there's not enough Phantom of the Opera fanart! I love it too, though I prefer the live performance.
There's some really lovely shading in this; the hands really show the effort you put into it. I think my favourite part of it is Christine's hair - it's just really beautifully done.

Absolutely Superb!!!!!! This is breathtakingly beautiful! I love The Phantom of the Opera! I haven't had a chance to see the movie yet and probably won't until it comes to DVD, but I love it all the same! I practically worship Sarah Brightman(the original Christine). It is great to see more Phantom fans here! Again great work and I am so faving it!!!!

LOL thanks again! you really should go and see the movie in theaters. It is so powerful. Of coarse the christine in the movie is no Sarah, but she does pretty good. The phantom in the movie is very hot (with his mask on of coarse). But anyways thanks for all your great encouragment. It really brightened my night!

You are very welcome! Your work has brightened my night as well! I wish I could go and see it in the theatres. The last time I went to the theatres was in March of 2002. So long ago, lol! I have this book by Susan Kay called The Phantom and it is incredible. If you love the Phantom musical you will love this. Also, when I got to the Christine chapter I put on my Phantom of the Opera cd(original cast recording of course) and listened to it through my headphones! The music and the book matched up almost perfectly and added extra emotion to the story and brought me to tears. I could actually see all that was happening, it was a phenominal experience for me that I would recommend to anyone!

yeah i have read the book too, and i agree that it is great. The Phantom is just such a superb character that i just get caught up in the sorty wether i am listening to the music, reading the book, or watching the movie. It is just such an expirience. I would love to see it on stage, and i hope i get to one day. That is too bad that you won't get to see it in theaters, but i am sure that you will love it when it comes out on DVD!

I know I will! It's now even out in theatres where I live, so I have to wait until the end of January even if I wanted to see it now, which I do! I always get caught up in it too! I would also love to see it on stage, that would be wonderful. It is too bad that we won't be able to see Sarah and Michael repraise there roles. That is my dream, to see The Phantom on Broadway with the original cast! I have dreamt about it many time and in my dreams it was wonderful!
