Synopsis: Shantae is the guardian genie of Scuttle Town on the coast of Saudi Arabia. As a half-human offspring of genies, Shantae has inherited her magic from her mother. Eventually, Scuttle Town was attacked by a pirate crew led by an Irish sailor named Risky Boots. Successfully defending Scuttle Town from pirates, Shantae sets off to fix the rift in space-time continuum.

Bad Ending: Defeated, Shantae was then taken hostage by Risky Boots and the pirates. They traveled to China, where they met a Heylin warrior named Chase Young. Chase decided to make use of Shantae's genie magic. Corrupting Shantae's power, Chase laughed in satisfaction as a new Grimm emerged from Shantae's ashes: An Etherious named Nega-Shantae. With Nega-Shantae's newfound wrath, Risky Boots' pirate crew, and Chase Young's ambitious darkness, Scuttle Town will soon be no more...
