Very nice.
You're skilled at drawing folds in clothing and people.

well first, thanks for the favs and the support.
i look at alot of film and alot of gear books.
i also draw most pieces 2 or three times, on a lightbox flipping the fork over to see proportions that my eyes have gotten used to, proportions that may be incorrect.
i find i f i retrace the work each time it becomes a little more sound.
these however are just scetches i did while hatching The Big Red One.
take a strong look at al williamsons starwars work or his blade runner work, while sometimes the quality is a bit inconsistant, often times he hits the mark just right, specificaly in stance or body language and clothing.
alot of people think that stacking your figure with loads of gear is a pain in the ass but i have found it to be more on the forgiving side
plus i'm a gear fanatic...that comes from my love of michael goldens military/swat characters.
did i just write one huge run-on sentance?
let me think some more about it and hit you back
thanks, x

Well thanks for the help so far, only having been drawing for 6 months its very helpful.
The gear is something I totally agree with and something I've already found very effective. I think I'll go grab some reference for more gear though and work off that, Michael Goldens looks like someone to look up (I do believe the Vietnem piece in your gallery was by him, if so he's very good and I really do have to search him out...). I think I have an Al Williamson book, time to root that out. Well hell, thanks for the help, and from an established artist too. As far as I can see nothing beats practice so I think I'll go and test your principles. Thanks again, it's a helluva help.

Roger Roger and all that.
Yeah, only 6 months on and off while I do "real" work. Still early days. Anyways, thanks for the help, I'm checking out Al Williamson and Michael Golden today.

Wow, these are impressive. I love how you combined the masculine comic theme with the detail on the gear and clothing. I wish I could draw like you. Keep it up!
