Description
Took a play on Mandelbulber2 2.14 www.mandelbulber.com/ after testing it on an Arch xfce4 and was gladly surprised by the stability and lack of issue during the compilation and working session wich I couldn't find under Gnome 3A simple exploration of Quaternion shapes: T>Abs Add Conditional 4D and Quaternion Cubic 4D.
Will post a small variation of it with params someday later

Great! Looking forward to seeing more! I wish I could run Mandelbulber 2.14 under windows stably. It crashes randomly before I can get anything done. I give it a try with every new version, but alas, crashes. I'll have to set up a Linux partition to test. The Arch version with xfce4 looks interesting as well! Thanks!

Sorry ti hear that Maybe at the Mandelbulber facebook group thry could assist you. KrzysztofMarczak and other experts are usually there to help a bit. I was recently on a virtual tour trying out Mandelbulber and MB3D with different results.
MBer is onArch repos. but version 2.13, so you need the source code. Using qmake at terminal fails but running ./install compiles and installs all well.
You'll need also some qt5 dependencies, like qt5-base, qt5-multimedia and some others if required.
Perhaps I will write down a journal describing the experiences with MB3D on different Linux desktops. Maybe it is more a curious gothrough but you don't need super computer for running MB3D at least
