Problem Solved
It sounds funny because the God debate is often portrayed as such a profound and insoluble riddle. But if you actually do Google it, you’ll find plenty of articles about untestable hypotheses, anecdotal evidence, Ockham’s Razor, and other useful info about how to evaluate claims, as well as info about evolution, cosmology, particle physics, and other relevant subjects. (I’ve even written a few myself.) Sure, you’ll also find websites like Answers in Genesis, but if you read everything that’s available, you’ll understand why it’s not called Correct Answers in Genesis.
So if anybody asks you why it’s irrational to believe in God, you can just tell them to Google it. And if they accuse you of naively oversimplifying a complex issue, just direct them here.

I'm loving all the hell threats, the last line of defence.
You'd do well to accept your own mortality, and the spooky hell doesn't work on athiests since they don't belief in that to begin with.
I personally despise anyone using the arguement, if you'd see your fellow human beings, your friends and family who where no worse human beings thene you burn, and turn to god and thank him for saving you, I don't know what to say honestly.
I would personally feel guilty, for turning my back on my friends, and for being so greedy.
Have you ever considered what immortality (in a spirit form) means, do you know what it would do to a person? Have you ever had so much time you're just damn bored out of your mind, now make it so you don't have to sleep, eat, and it goes on forever, this would be borderline torture after a while. God better have some damn good entertainment up there.
I know that I'm not going to change anyone's minds, but I hope you do realise that trying to convert people with hell/heaven is basicly asking those people to sell out, converting someone with the fear of hell just means that person is a coward, converting someone with the reward of heaven just means that person is greedy.
Atleast debate for good reasons, good morals or support in hard times or whatever floats your boat, being scared of hell and wanting heaven is not a virtue to me, it just plays to some human weakness.

Evangelize and tell them of Hell to turn on their evil ways and get right with the Lord. You missed my point.
I'm not saying everyone who wants to go to heaven is greedy, wanting good things to happen is natural.
But if someone like me, who just can't believe it, even being raised into it, being baptised, going to church, the whole deal, I never could bring myself to believe it.
If I however would let myself be converted because they told me about hell, yes, I would be a coward. I would've caved in, betraying my own believes and morals, wich would make me a coward, no matter how you look at it.
Same thing with heaven, if I as a person don't belief god is real, and someone converts me, I still don't belief but I do the whole christian thing because I might get rewarded in the end, that's greed, it's purly for a reward, there's nothing nice or holy about my behaviour at that point.
A person that DOES believe in god doesn't want to be seperated from god, because he loves god, so not wanting to go to hell isn't cowardly for a person like that, since it's a matter of love, not fear.
I hope you see the diffrence.
I also don't take kindly on calling me "evil", I'm a decent guy, I'm not evil because I don't belief in a certain book, to think otherwise is a mindset so old fashion that it's staggering in this point in time.
Even if I'm wrong, in everything, if god is real, and so is heaven and hell, to say that doubting a 2000 year old book, makes me evil, I honestly shouldn't have to debate that, even most christians will see the error in that.

when I die, ghost or not. I'd be sure to keep myself occupied. Since in Heaven you have wings, I'd be flying EVERY DAY. And come down once in a while, if I do get bored 
And you're right. I'd never use the heaven/hell scare arguement, because it just seems silly to me to have to use that to convert someone. If you're going to Hell, you're going to Hell. But some reason for going there are unnecesary :l

I'm Agnostic, but my view on death is...kind of scientific, I suppose. See, in Chemistry, we're taught that atoms and energy don't just disappear - They are channeled somewhere else. In Biology, we learn that our brain tells the body what to do and how to react through an electrical reflex arc. Electricity is a form of energy, and that electricity is what my view of a person's 'soul' is (Which is why I believe animals have souls also). So when we die, what happens to this electrical 'soul'? It moves on. It channels into something else.
Maybe that energy is channeled into an unborn child, maybe we're channeled into an 'afterlife' of sorts. Or maybe we just become a part of the earth around us; joining nature itself, the particles of our being charging the circle of life. That's a hypothesis my friends and I thought up one dull day in Religious Studies.
But I don't dwell on the concept of life and death. I'm only 15. All that matters to me right now is what I'm going to have for supper! Haha (:

You don't get wings in heaven lol read a Bible. Also, saying "you're going to Hell" is not a scare argument, it's a statement and a warning. You Atheists do need to hear that you are going to Hell, but you don't like it because you love your sin, you love cursing at others, you love calling people derogatory names, you love insulting others, many of you love porn, you love sex out of marriage, you love to steal, you love to get drunk... Every single one of those is going to backfire on all of you some day whether it's in this life or the next. You seem to be throwing a lot of hatred to atheists.
Atheists aren't the only ones who sin. We all sin. Its only human - no mortal is perfect and they will never be perfect. No matter what religion - we are all still humans and we make mistakes.
My advice is to live life the best way you can. If you want to follow the path of the Lord then do it! But I'm sure He wouldn't expect us as humans to be perfectly flawless during our lives. I like to think that God is smarter than that ;D

Athiest only means you do not accept the god claims put forth by the religions up untill this point.
Nothing more, an athiest could believe anything other thene that.
And there are athiests out there that believe in life after death, I personally don't see why it would matter in this case, it's not "you" anymore anyway, so you wouldn't really have the same mind or "soul" and you wouldn't have the same body, so that kind of afterlife would be pretty much the same as no afterlife at all in the end.
I don't really see my death view as a belief, I think my viewpoint is rather the standard position, and I have up untill this point no reason to belief otherwise, the fear of death, the griefing over the death of loved once, if everyone truely, and with all their hearth believed an afterlife was out there, thene why are they scared, why do they grief.
It might be a dark and cruel picture, that people are lost forever, and being together forever in heaven might seem nice, but the truth doesn't care about nice or dark, what's true is true, and while I obviously can't prove there's nothing after death, I will not change my point of view because I'm scared, or sad, unless someone has a good reason to believe these things, to me they are wishfull thinking.
I will not try to take aways peoples comfort of heaven, I have no problem with people using it as a crutch in hard times, eventho I think they shouldn't rely on their religions to much.

I have to agree in the sense that it doesn't make sense that you'd grieve if you were afraid for them after death. I greive because I can't see them anymore as a living person, not because I'm afraid what happened to their soul. I like your opinion on this!

Well as much as I love talking about these things, I'm not sure someone's page is a good spot for it.
And well, if that's the reason you grief, and you truely belief that, well good news for you is, it's only temporary, missing someone for a 50 year or so period is eventually not so much of a deal in an eternal afterlife.
And that's where religion is sometimes seen as a helping tool in hard times, I don't have this,but I don't feel the need for it eighter, but I accept that death is hard for some people so I try not to pry on the heaven and hell thing in moments like that.

Yes, because only Atheists commit suicide. I mean, it's not like they commit suicide because they're depressed or anything, no, they commit suicide BECAUSE they're atheists.
Also, if you somehow try to link atheism and depression together, keep in mind that there are plenty of depressed religious folk too.

You believe in a plane of existence where people are cruelly tortured for the rest of eternity. In what way is that not negative? Also, God has a choice in whether or not he sends us to hell. Christianity has existed for over 2000 years. Women are just now starting to get the same rights and respect as men. If Christianity teaches respect to women, how come women were never really respected in Christian societies until the last century? Religion doesn't ONLY do bad things. Religion HAS helped a lot of people. I can admit that. But it's a matter of weighing the good and the bad. I see where you're coming from on this, but do you mean porn addictions or just porn in general? I don't think porn is necessarily a bad thing and it doesn't really 'destroy' families. I haven't heard of a divorce being filed simply because someone looked at porn. And I've heard of plenty of couples who are both comfortable with looking at porn. It only 'destroys' the family if the family overreacts.

I'm just going to give my two cents for a second.
The image is funny to me and I like how it seems like a child wrote it. I also like how you put your reasoning of such a simple image into the description. I've seen a couple of the comments. And their are some that think it is ignorant to believe whatever is posted on the internet that is against religion.(But are fine with what is posted in favor of religion to some extent.) Yet those same people believe what an old book says just because someone else told them it was the truth.
Just thought I'd point out that. Personally I don't believe in any particular god. But I believe to some extent that a god exists. But my belief of one isn't as present in people's lives as other gods. :/

This is a good example of confirmation-bias, you were looking for an answer so you found what you are looking for. While Google is great for giving you resources it does give you what you are looking for, that's it purpose. To complete your argument I would suggest looking into some of the philosophies that support faith. I find Kierkegaard's description of faith very interesting ([link] ). Other philosophers around that time period also had some interesting theories worth considering.
