I suppose someone already had such idea before me and probably realized it with a lot better result... But anyway, that's my trial
It was really hard to draw and shade something that is partly covered - it was some kind of fun too, but I'll try less crazy ideas next time

I've been looking at this everyday since you uploaded it (seriously) and I just can't put the right words together to tell you how much I love this image. I saw the inspiration for it and while that's marvelous and all, this one's got something else to it that's more raw, personal, and honest.
I'm mind boggled as to how you managed this. The illusion is so solid I still can't tell if I'm actually staring at two people embracing or two people separate and embracing nothing at all. It's aptly titled and strikes at me on a very personal level.

Maybe they miss someone they already love, maybe they still wish to find someone to love... But no matter the choice of interpretation - I think they will meet sooner or later because they just fit to each other so well
