However, when push comes to shove, Leo is a very capable leader that has brought many victories to his team. His relationship with his partners varify for both. Excalibur and him have a sort of rivalry with each other, but the two do respect one another even though they tend to clash heads about battle plans. Hansi is Leo's closest friend and he often turns to the Piplup for any opinions about what he should do. The trio work well together and have faced many strong rivals and even managed to beat the 'Strongest' team there was at the time.
