Next on the character sheet list: Mateoin "Mat" Batty. I'm also updating his profile a bit with some other stuff about him.

Mat was born into a species of philosophers and traditionalist- the bat society relies on both, and sadly this has led to a bit of a loop with them philosophizing on the same thing over and over again without actively looking for new things to ponder. In this way, Mat has striven to break traditional thinking(fraternizing with sloths.), and it moved to breaking traditional behavior(flying like a hummingbird rather then a butterfly, and hanging by his tail like an opossom.), and ultimately ended up getting him kicked out of America in the middle of his Great Migration for dressing up as, and mingling with humans. As punishment, he was sent to Airizonia, a continent in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle that, of course, has never been touched by humans and has become a sort of nocturnal society of refugees and immigrants.
Mat's a genius, and a bit of a challenger of the norm. Unfortunately, he doesn't have enough of the guts to actively put his foot down and take charge of the situation- as a result, he'll get bulldozed by the more hardcore beurocrats every time and be unable to do anything other then groan, make a snide comment, and shuffle off home. Mat DOES have a love for gambling, however, and no matter what the odds are or how dangerous the stunt, he'll successfully pull off any bet or dare without a scratch.
Mat was rescued from an almost certain death by Snooze a long time ago, and has since become the only guy who can truly be a voice of reason to an otherwise hippy whirlwind of destruction.

Mat still loves America, and longs to one day return to it... Little realizing that the "paradise" he left is in a lot of ways similar to the "Hellhole Rock" he's been banished to.
