I've once again been struck with Wonder Project J fever... Thank you for the wonderful early birthday gift.To recap, Wonder Project J is one of my favorite games of all time, and also the cause of something I tend to think about occationally, namely Japans habit of "Hogging all the really COOL stuff they make and sending us the crap." At one point, I was drawing acres of fanart of Pino from the original Wonder Project J and I actually wanted to do some fanfiction with the characters; my favorite idea was one where Mimi starts falling in love with Pino, not knowing he's a robot, and Pino... Well, he's about as dumb about everything as he ever is... but he plays along cause he doesn't want his cover blown. I stopped drawing the fanart due to a lack of comments, but that was a couple years ago...
Anyway, long story short, hooked me up with the sequal, and even though I don't understand the japanese yet, I'm having a lot of fun looking at the animation, and making Josette walk into walls... Something evil in me gets a kick out of that.
Who knows... I might go back to Wonder Project J art. I missed doing it so...

I know this is old but I don't give a fuck. I love the style on this as it has a wonderfully toony feel in which, as everyone knows, I love.
I have to check out this series. It sounds interesting.

I want to play J2 now. I recall seeing it featured in an ad for a Japanese game import store back in the day and wondered what it was. I was entranced by Josette for some reason. But forgot about it until more recently. I guess I'll keep an eye out on Ebay and Yahoo Japan Auctions.

Thing you need to know is I've got a squeeky clean image on DA, so when I do something that's dirty I get more then my share of outraged and shocked fans. And yes, it's a dirty WPJ2 picture...

The bird's just called Bird, and he's an interface robot; a robot programed to convey instructions from a human to Josette... You don't control Josette directly, you control Bird to tell her what to do, basically.

Try going for a rom of the first one, Wonder Project J. It's the only working rom I was able to find, and the sequal I got simply cause has connections...
Also, it's got a patch that translates it and makes the game easier... (After all, if Pino throws a book with an angry look on his face, and you can't understand him when he says "This is too hard", you might make a mistake.)

Naw, they arn't mainstream... Wonder Project J was only available in Japan. I guess a part of me wants to show people the hidden gems that don't get the publicity.
