Description
A piece of fossil marine mammals. Oligocene epoch; somwhere in the eastern Paratethys sea three archaic "dolphins" Microcetus sharkovi, playing, annoy the sea turtle (of uncertain species, probably, cf. Glarichelys). Microcetus was once placed into family Waipatiidae, but now considered independent brunch within the superfamily Platanistoidea (repesenting in the modern fauna by the South Asian river dolphin, Platanista gangetica).ΒRelated content
